Pelican Bar 2011

Today we went off the coast of Parrot Bay, where out on a sandbar there is a place called Pelican Bar. We took a small boat out about 1 and half miles into the bay and then climbed the driftwood steps up into Pelican Bar. Jerry was nervous about her camera gear, whereas Steve and I decided to snorkeling.

When we arrived we learned that just yesterday the Duchess of York was here. Who would have guessed!

Needles and I decided to go swimming after walking the plank. It was a good time. Perhaps the best part was when I played dominos with some local guys while I watch Gayle eating a whole fried snapper. She certainly embraced the diversity and her adventurous spirit had her trying all sorts of new things. This is one cool place and definatly worth the drive by car and by boat to come see. When we came it wasnt lobster season so we ordered the fried fish. A cold drink,

Zip Line Canopy 2011

Trip # 3. I didnt do a particularly good job of updating the blog while we were finishing up our last trip, nor when we started this trip, Trip #3. On this trip we were accompanied by our friend Steve. We decided to try ziplining. Of the several places that offer Ziplining, we opted for the one that boasts the longest zipline in all of the Caribbean. 1600' from the ridge of one mountain to another.  I decided it would be a perfect opportunity to use our GoPro camera, so I brought my own helmet with camera mount.

Gayle didnt go by herself, nor did anyone expect her to. The guides took turns with her and she did a fantastic job. She said at the end of the day  if she could do it all over then she would have wanted to do it by herself. Perhaps she will get the chance in the future.

Jerry did Great... oh and you could hear her throughout the forrest. She has a way os screaming. Not a bad scream, nor one of terror, but one that is unique, fun, and so "Jerry".
